We have for you a bunch of bug fixes and a two nice improvement for the writing editor.

Our first post launch release is here!

Bug fix

First we have a fix for the SEO address generation. There was a bug where focus was lost from the title field and refocused to the SEO field. That should no longer happen.

New typographical features

Next we have a huge set of text patterns that will be transformed to typographical features. See the list for the complete listing:

  • Converts double dashes -- to an emdash .

  • Converts three dots ... to an ellipsis character

  • Smart” opening double quotes.

  • “Smart closing double quotes.

  • Smart’ opening single quotes.

  • ‘Smart closing single quotes.

  • Converts <- to an arrow .

  • Converts -> to an arrow .

  • Converts (c) to a copyright sign ©.

  • Converts (r) to registered trademark sign ®.

  • Converts (tm) to registered trademark sign .

  • Converts (sm) to registered trademark sign .

  • Converts 1/2 to one half ½.

  • Converts 1/4 to one quarter ¼.

  • Converts 3/4 to three quarters ¾.

  • Converts +/- to plus/minus sign ±.

  • Converts != to a not equal sign .

  • Converts << to left-pointing double angle quotation mark «.

  • Converts >> to right-pointing double angle quotation mark ».

  • Converts 2*3 or 2x3 to a multiplcation sign 2×3.

  • Converts ^2 a superscript two ².

  • Converts ^3 a superscript three ³.

We hope that this will make the writing a bit nicer.

Font families

If you have Adventurer or better subscription, you will now have a button the text editor. This one will open a list of fonts that you can change the selected text into.

We will improve the design in the future more towards what is common in other writing editors, but we wanted to get this to you as soon as possible.

Second we will be adding more fonts in the near future as well.

We put this feature behind subscription because we want to make this more accessible to authors who will be a bit more familiar with our system as setting a custom font might seem nice it can break assistive technology like applying the OpenDyslexic font over the entire text, so it should be done sparingly.

And that is it for today! More updates are on their way!
