RTL writing (beta)

While we currently don’t have RTL languages for UI translations we have added the capability for RTL writing. You can now select Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu and Pasho as a new languages for writing.

But this is just the beginning! Inspired by ancient Japanese texts we also now support vertical writing RTL writing and reading for Japanese and Chinese. It looks fine for short texts and poetry, but we will have to wait till pagination on chapters till this will become more comfortable for reading longer texts.

That said, please consider this a beta as we learn more about RTL writing and improve it.

Ruby

Our last addition to writing tools is ruby (ルビ). No, we won’t shower you with precious stones. Ruby is a HTML tag that allows for Furigana or other text to be added above a text to provide a reading. For example unicorn in Kanji, but with Katakana transcript above it:

Theme adjustments

We are upgrading the way we manage theme. This means that we are also trying to improve the colors of the theme.

Let us know if you encounter any issues with colors.
