Fan Club updates

Fan Clubs have been updated with recent changes to take opportunity of monetized stories. Authors can now set in tiers which monetized stories will be unlocked to fans for access. Then there is an option to permanently gift a story to the fan after being a fan for a specified number of months. Finally, there is also be an option to give a story to fun upon subscription (something for the more expensive tiers).

We have improved the UI around fan club subscriptions and management. It is experimental compare to the rest of the website, so let us know what you think.

Fan Club members will now be able to check all their perks on a new dedicated fan club page. Aim of this new page is to list all the benefits and allow direct access to them.

Bring Your Own Keys

A shape of things to come. API keys settings has been expanded to allow you to insert your own API keys for external services. No direct usage as of now, but very soon they will be usable for new features in the editor and beyond.

Japanese improvements

With preparations for SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 we have renewed focus on anything Japanese. This time around we have added dedicated Japanese fonts for Japanese stories and our UI. It is night and day. Reading Japanese here should be a treat now.

Bundle improvements

Once in a while we take a closer look on our client side bundle. With so many new features we have to do it more regularly so that it doesn’t grow out of proportions.

We did manage to make some improvements which should help when loading Literary Universe for the first time. But we are reaching a point where we will have to do more drastic architectonical changes. That will mean that we will have to stop shipping new features during that time, so we will choose that time very carefully.
