Diaries
This time around we have something for you to do on Literary Universe every day. An activity that has been enjoyed a lot by our ancestors and helped them better organize their thoughts and be retrospective on their days and themselves.
Diaries & Journals
Anyone can now write their diaries and journals. This is a private space to record your thoughts, progress, feelings, ideas and sort thought things as you write.
Your dashboard shows a gentle daily reminder to check in, and the diary is easily reachable from the main navigation menus. It's a small thing that can make a big difference to a daily writing habit.
If you have an idea that you want to share with the world, there is a button that will take what you have written and create a blog post draft that you can further refine.
Encyclopedia canvas
We have a new field in encyclopedia for those who want more visual displays, the canvas. An interactive, node-based visual workspace that you can add to any encyclopedia entry as a field. Think of it like a digital corkboard with string. You can drag and drop elements, connect them, and build a bird's-eye view of whatever you are currently working on. You can add links, links to other encyclopedia entries and so on.
In the future there is a lot more that we want to add to this, but we wanted to get out something that you can play with today and that will allow us some nice things in the near future.
Enhanced advance social media sharing
We've given the sharing tools a significant upgrade. You can now upload a custom background image for your social media share cards, making them feel uniquely yours. QR codes for sharing stories now include Literary Universe logo for an extra touch. Where available you will also be now able to put the QR code directly into the social media posts without having to download and upload the image.
We’ll keep on working on improving sharing features to make things even easier.
Writing History & Group Leaderboard
Your workshop now has a writing history view so you can look back at your activity over time. Groups have gained a leaderboard, adding a friendly competitive element for writing communities and challenges.
