21.8.2018 - Day 6

When I woke up, I was told by Zelma that there was an earthquake during the night, which I slept through. Again! This morning we waited for the hotel manager to show up to make our payment, so we have started the day late.

First thing we did is went to Rikugien Gardens, which are short walk from our hotel. There was a quiz game, which we played together with enjoying the gardens in the hot weather. Since we won we’ve gotten random prizes. I got two postcards.

As it was super hot we returned to our hotel to leave our winnings, cool down and Zelma changed from jeans to skirt as the jeans are too hot. We made our way to Ueno and after going around for a bit we moved to Akihabara and walked through it and went to few shops primarily to enjoy the air conditioning. Due to the hotness and Zelma suffering from jetlag we went back to our hotel to retire early.

Sadly due to approaching typhoons (two of them) we decided that going to mount Fuji became too hazardous as the trip down would be in thunderstorm, heavy winds and rain.
