Japan 2018 - Day 26
10.9.2018
In the morning I woke up for the last breakfast at Cuore Kurashiki. After saying my goodbyes I made my way back to train station while looking for any last minute gifts that I could buy. Departing Kurashiki I switched to Sakura Shinkansen at Okayama that goes all the way to Tokyo without the need to switch trains.
Being back in Tokyo after 2pm I locked my luggage on the train station and set out to Shimbashi to take a picture of the train there that I always saw, but never got on a camera. After that I walked around. It started to rain so I made my way to Asakusa to buy a yukata for myself. I got a recommendation for a shop by XSoft for a store, but when I got there I found the patterns very simple and the price was really high. As I walked around I found another shop nearby that had the yukata and one more thing. With my shopping crave satisfied I decided to go to Shibuya into Shinaknsen sushi for last dinner.
Although I enjoyed the dinner, after having tasted superb versions of all the dishes it tasted a bit weak. Or maybe it was my sadness that I would be leaving soon. Leaving into the rain I made my way back to the main station, got my tickets for the Narita express and made some final photos of the night station.
After an hour I have arrived at Terminal 2 at Narita. I was staying at the airport’s capsule hotel 9 hours, which allowed me to wake-up at a reasonable hour to catch my flight. Walking around terminal 2 before turning in, I found an amazing thing. On the second floor of the arrival hall there was a location from Anime Tourist Association showcasing Japan’s 88 anime pilgrimage sites. I saw quiet a few of them and obviously missed a lot of them as well. I took the two last remaining maps as I knew that it will be useful for a lot of people planning a trip around anime locations. With that done I made my final preparations and closed the curtain of my capsule.
