The big question that authors often get is what inspired them and how. I'll talk about one of my inspirations that I have recently finished reading the original work after previously being inspired by the anime many years ago. This is the 星界の紋章 and 星界の戦旗 or in translation: Crest of the Stars and Banner of the Stars by Hiroyuki Morioka.
