Another update is here! While this update might not be as impactful immediately, in long term though we think it will become increasingly important.

Writing editor updates 🪶

First we bring you two additions to the writing editor:

Horizontal line

Like the lines in this post, you can now add horizontal lines to separate different sections in your writing.

Type three dashes (---) or three underscores and a space (___ ) at the beginning of a new line and it will magically transform to a horizontal rule.

Better emoji support 🎉

We have improved the emoji support. While you could add emoji’s into the text before, but now we have more support and fallback in case that they are not supported on the target device.

Story recommendations ⭐

On Discovery and once you reach end of a story you will now see recommendations. You can turn them on or off in your settings.

We have a recommendation engine that will recommend you stories based on your interests. Though it might take a bit before we have enough data, so in the meantime there is a simple fallback which will select random stories (of course limited by your interests as well).

The fine print 👮

Today we had a massive upgrade to all of our legal texts. Our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Publication Agreement got complete re-write. This allowed us to consolidate things and remove Copyrights Agreement.

The Copyright page was reworked to tell you about our licenses and try out our license selector.

To better comply with EU regulations we have a cookies page that explains our cookie usage. In essence we only have functional cookies without which you might not even be able to load this page.

Other 🐛🐛🐛

• The help circle has been moved down.

• Many fixes in UI localization. We still have a lot of work to do on this and will most likely dedicate an entire update to just improve things around localization and translations. Stay tuned!

• Various small bug fixes that we came across.
